dc.description.abstract |
The case highlights the challenges faced by the companies which are working on critical technologies, eg. Defence related. In these sectors, either the technologies are denied by the companies which own them or there is a monopoly which works to the disadvantage of the buyer country. However, the country critically needs these technologies for their survival in the global environment. Owing to these circumstances, the decision to indigenise certain technologies is taken, which comes with enormous challenges to the companies which undertake such projects. |
